Providing excellent instruction and hands-on experiences in the field of interest is only one aspect of a rounded education. The EACC also wants to make sure students have the appropriate skills and tools to secure the career they want.
Career Pathways-help to inform students about careers in need and what skills are necessary for that field.
Scholarship info-students can check back often to see what assistance is available for post-secondary training.
Resume and Portfolio tools-developing a portfolio to highlight skills and accomplishments is an important tool for securing a desired career opportunity.
Networking Opportunities – Business partners are actively involved in the development of 21st Century skills along with real-world career building activities, which include panel discussions, mock interviews, and job fair.

At the Elkhart Area Career Center we offer students support in building their career portfolio and provide a variety of ways for you to connect with possible future employers and current business partners.
We provide:
Career exploration, advising and planning through assessment tools.
Assistance with building your career portfolio. Creating resumes, cover letters, templates for thank letters and prepping for interview questions.
Work based learning experiences (Job Shadows, Internships, and Apprenticeships)
Employer classroom presentations
